According to the 2024 list of the world’s top 25 destinations from online travel platform TripAdvisor, Vietnam’s World Natural Heritage Site Ha Long Bay ranked second in the top 25 nature destinations and third in the 25 trending destinations worldwide.

Thanks to its unique natural beauty, Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay was listed among the 51 most beautiful destinations in the world by luxury and lifestyle travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler in October.

Vietnam has 9 heritage sites recognised by UNESCO, including 5 cultural, 3 natural, and 1 complex heritage items.

In addition to developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector able to contribute 15% to gross regional domestic product (GRDP) by 2030, the northern province of Quang Ninh - home of the world heritage site of Ha Long Bay - is also striving to turn itself into a national tourism hub.

The travel magazine The Travel has listed Ha Long Bay in the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh and Cu Chi Tunnels in Ho Chi Minh City among the ten must-visit epic and adventurous places in Southeast Asia.

CNN has listed the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay among the 25 most gorgeous destinations on Earth, calling it “a place where time slows to a standstill”.
